Bubble alumina 0.2-1mm 1-2mm

Bubble alumina 0.2-1mm 1-2mm is an electric arc furnace product made from high purity industrial alumina. The product chemistry is similar to that of white aluminum oxide. Alumina bubbles are formed from molten alumina and then dispersed into hollow balls with different diameters with compressed air. Bubble alumina as aggregate and industrial alumina or corundum as powder make the lightweight refractory castable. The particle size of the bubble alumina aggregate in the castable is the natural particle size.

Bubble alumina 0.2-1mm 1-2mm production process:

  1. More than 98% of the industrial alumina powder is melted at high temperature in an electric arc furnace;
  2. Spray the molten alumina melt into hollow balls with compressed air;
  3. Screen good balls to ensure that the breaking rate is within 10%;
  4. Screen out different sizes;
  5. Packaging, Storage.

Applications of bubble alumina 0.2-1mm 1-2mm:

Alumina bubbles are used in three different types of refractory products—Monolithics, pressed shapes, and loose-fill insulation. Monolithics and pressed shapes are the two major applications in the refractory market.

Chemical compositions of alumina bubble 0.2-1mm 1-2mm:

Bubble Alumina(FAQ)

What is the structure?

Structure is basically the spacing between abrasive grains.  An open structure would be 12 or higher while a closer structure would be 6 or so.  Here again, the structure depends on a variety of factors not the least of which is how difficult the material is to grind.

What is porosity?

Porosity is defined as the gas proportion (cavity volume) of a particle’s total volume. It can be determined using different measurement techniques, such as gas adsorption and mercury porosimetry. With the same grain size and shape, a lower bulk density corresponds to a higher porosity of the grains.

What is silicon carbide?

Silicon carbide is a chemical compound of silicon and carbon and belongs to the group of carbides. The chemical formula is SiC.Silicon carbide is at the same time the hardest and lightest ceramic material and is also highly resistant against acids and alkaline solutions.

Is sample parts testing available?

MicroBlasting is extremely efficient and precise, so it is hardly likely you will need to recycle abrasive, but it is important to know the risk involved. Unlike grit or bead blasting, a MicroBlasting system can only cycle abrasive once. Abrasive should not be reclaimed and reprocessed for a second pass

How is fused alumina obtained?

Raw materials containing aluminium oxide are electrothermally melted at a reaction temperature of more than 2,000 °C to produce the various fused aluminas. Different starting materials are used depending on the desired type of fused alumina. For instance,
