White fused alumina FEPA grain F24-F100 was made from high-quality alumina by melting above 2000 in the electric arc furnace and cooling. It is white with the main crystal phase alpha-Al2O3. The white alumina produced in titling electric arc furnaces has high purity, hardness, bulk density, low porosity, good volume stability, and thermal shock resistance. As the most commonly used corundum in the industry, white fused alumina grain has a lengthy application history because of its high hardness and good self-sharpening advantages. The European FEPA (Federation of European Producers of Abrasives) is an applied particle size specification for abrasives and refractory materials. The particle size numbers are: F24, F30, f36, F40, F46, f54, F60, F70, F80, f90, F100.

White Fused Alumina is from the fusion of high purity Bayer processed alumina in electric arc furnaces at about 2,050 degrees Celsius. White fused alumina has the features of well-distributed particle size composition, low magnetic substance content, high bulk density and toughness, good toughness, high cleanliness, etc. The white fused alumina is recommended for grinding high carbon steel, high-speed steel, and chilled steel. It can also work for blasting, lapping, polishing media, and laminating flooring materials.
