White fused alumina for refractories 0-1mm

White fused alumina 0-1 mm is the powder in particle size segment from 0 to 1mm. Powder 0-1 mm can be directly used as refractory materials or further processed into fine powder particles. White fused alumina (WFA) is obtained from the fusion of high purity industrial alumina in electric arc furnaces. WFA is raw material characterized by high hardness, yet friable with high purity, chemical stability, a high melting point, and large crystal size. White fused alumina is used in many applications, including grinding and cutting wheels, refractories and ceramic shapes, coated abrasives, investment casting shells, laminates, coatings, blasting abrasives, lapping and polishing.

White fused alumina for refractory is a challenging and chemically resistant material widely used in the refractory and foundry industries for its excellent resistance to molten chemical attack alloys and slag and its high refractoriness (>2000°C). White fused alumina is used as the flour and stucco for the refractory coats; White fused alumina also is a standard refractory material for both prime coats and back-ups. Particle size distributions from fine powder size to refractory size are available to cover the full range requested for refractory application.

  • High-temperature resistance with low thermal conductivity and low coefficient of linear expansion. So it can resist thermal shock.
  • PH value: White fused alumina is a neutral substance with a PH value of 7.0-8.0.
  • High resistance to chemical corrosion. White fused alumina is resistant to most acid and alkali materials.
