Bubble alumina mix 0.2-5mm

Bubble alumina is an effective high-temperature thermal insulator in structural applications and is appropriate for use at temperatures as high as 1825°C. Bubble alumina’s structure consists primarily of closed, thin-walled cells that combine to give it exceptional hot strength, high creep resistance, low density, and low thermal conductivity. It is pre-fired, contains no organics, and exhibits high microwave and RF transparency. Its high alumina content makes it compatible with many extreme chemical environments. Bubble alumina is manufactured on a custom basis and can be supplied in many sizes. Bubble alumina can achieve the trade‐off between lightweight and overall performance. This material works well to coat a lined forge for protection against flux when welding.

Bubble alumina mix 0.2-5mm production process:

Alumina raw materials are melted in an electric arc furnace at 2200℃. When pouring the melt out, blow the melt with high-pressure air to make the melt dispersed into tiny droplets. The droplets form alumina hollow balls during the cooling process due to surface tension effects. The hollow balls are screened to remove fine powder and big fragments and particles. Iron is removed with the magnetic iron. Broken balls are removed with a ball selecting machine. Then the alumina hollow spheres are packed as the finished products.

Bubble alumina mix 0.2-5mm Features and performance:

Bubble alumina, the crystal form is a-Al2O3 microcrystal. Bubble alumina has low bulk density, low impurity content, and low thermal conductivity. Bubble alumina is the main body, which can be made into products of various shapes. The maximum service temperature is 1800 ° C. The mechanical strength of the products is high, which is several times that of ordinary light products, and the bulk density is only one-half of the corundum products.

Applications of bubble alumina mix 0.2-5mm:

Bubble alumina spheres and their products are lightweight refractory materials with high-temperature resistance and excellent energy-saving and stability. Bubble alumina can be used as high temperature, ultra-high temperature insulation fillers, high-temperature refractory concrete lightweight materials, high-temperature castables, etc. bubble alumina refractory bricks can be used for high-temperature energy saving (>30%) down the flame kiln, shuttle kiln, molybdenum wire furnace, tungsten rod furnace, induction furnace, nitriding furnace, etc. Significant results have been achieved in reducing the weight of the furnace body, transforming the structure, saving materials and energy, and saving energy by more than 40%. Alumina hollow balls have been widely used in high temperature and ultra-high temperature furnaces such as petrochemical industrial gasifiers, carbon black industrial reaction furnaces, metallurgical industrial induction furnaces, etc., and have achieved very satisfactory energy-saving effects.

Bubble Alumina(FAQ)

What does the form factor (grain shape) indicate?

The description of the grain shape can range from “angular” to “acicular” to “spherical”. When the value of the dimensionless form factor is 1, the grain is spherical. The smaller the form factor, the pointier the grain.

Can i get sample in free , how long is the time?

Yes, certainly. We will provide the sample is in free below 5 kgs for free, and the freight cost for free in 1kg. We could arrange the existing samples express delivery immediately. For any special samples requirement, it need max 7 days finished. Usually we send samples by TNT ,FEDEX,

What is a mesh vs. Grit size?

If you take a (1) inch space and add wires to it, the number of openings within the 1″ space is defined as mesh. For example, if the 1″ space has ten openings for particles to fall through, then that sieve would be called a 10 mesh sieve. Typical sieve

What is the warranty policy?

Firstly, We make sure the quality before the goods to be packed, if clients get the item with Substandard products, We have warranty for our clients,we will ship out the new replacements.

What is silicon carbide?

Silicon carbide is a chemical compound of silicon and carbon and belongs to the group of carbides. The chemical formula is SiC.Silicon carbide is at the same time the hardest and lightest ceramic material and is also highly resistant against acids and alkaline solutions.

Amount of abrasive applied:

This decision is made by knowing the type of material you will be working with. Open Coat – Here, the abrasive granules cover from 50% – 70% of the backing and are set at pre-determined spacing to reduce loading. Used on softer surface materials that tends to load or fill
