Grinding Paste Manufacturer

Grinding / Lapping paste is a mixture of hard abrasive particles in a suitable base for asperity removal from metal surfaces. The base can be oil-based or water-based. The hard particles used are fused alumina, silica or silicon carbide, glass, boron carbide, etc. The lapping paste is graded from extra coarse to extra fine. There are few grits of larger size abrasives in extra coarse, and it is used for rough lapping. In extra fine grinding paste, there are many grits of very fine particles, and it is used for fine lapping. The larger the grit rating of the lapping paste, the finer the paste. Grinding / Lapping paste is used to cut, smooth, and finish metal surfaces and for the precision matting of metal parts.

What is fepa and what does it do?

FEPA is the Federation of European Producers of Abrasives. Its mission is to develop and publish standards, documents and comprehensive safety instructions for the abrasive industry. Abrasive grain sizes are produced and sold according to the FEPA standard, among other things. This is to ensure that a consistent quality for

What is melting vs. Sintering?

When processing minerals in a furnace, materials can either be melted or sintered.  When materials are melted during the production process the minerals go from a solid state, to a liquid state, then is re-solidified during the cooling process creating uniformity in the chemistry throughout the entire batch. The sinerting process

How do i know what abrasive is best for my application?

An abrasive’s shape, hardness, and particle size really determine the effectiveness of a MicroBlasting application. Each application is unique, and abrasive selection depends on the composition of the targeted part and the application’s desired result. See our Abrasive Media Selection Guide to choose the most appropriate abrasive for your application.

How do i prevent moisture contamination in the abrasive?

Moisture contamination is the number one reason customers call Technical Support. Fortunately, it is usually preventable. There are 4 key ways to keep your abrasive free of moisture:1.Store abrasive properly and always make sure bottles are tightly closed when not in use.2.Keep abrasive in a cool dry location with minimum

What is the hardness?

Hardness is rated from A-Z with ‘A’ being the weakest bond and ‘Z’ being the strongest.  A weak bond is preferred for grinding harder materials while  a stronger bond is desired for softer materials.  A typical weak bond for steel would be in the ‘F, G or H’ range.  A
